The setup simulator

ApexSim is a browser-based vehicle dynamics simulator built on the equations from Milliken's Race Car Vehicle Dynamics. Change the ARB and the K_us moves. Change the camber and the lap time changes. Every parameter has a measurable physical effect — not a lookup table.

The physics engine is fully universal. GT3, GT4, TCR, prototype, touring car — any race car with known geometry and tyre data can be modelled. Load your telemetry and the model self-calibrates to your specific car in that session.

No installation. No Python. No Node.js. Open the HTML file in Chrome and you are running a full vehicle dynamics simulation in 2 seconds, anywhere in the world.

Does it work for any race car, not just specific models?

Yes — completely universal. ApexSim's physics engine works for any race car: GT3, GT4, TCR, touring, prototype, formula. All vehicle parameters (mass, geometry, tyre coefficients, engine curve) are fully editable. The only thing that changes between cars is the input data, not the physics model.
Does anything need to be installed?

No. ApexSim and ApexData are single HTML files that run in any browser — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. Open the file and you are running in 2 seconds. No Node.js, no Python, no plugins, no internet connection required after the first load.
What telemetry formats are supported?

CSV or XML from WinTAX4 (Marelli), AiM RaceStudio 3, MoTeC i2, VBOX. Channel names are detected automatically. At minimum, speed and lateral acceleration are needed for the Pacejka fit. Add GPS_Lat and GPS_Lon to build the track automatically.
How accurate is the simulated lap time?

With built-in tracks: ±7-10s on absolute time, but delta between setup A and B is accurate to the tenth. With GPS tracks from your telemetry: ±1-2s. With full parametric calibration from telemetry: ±0.5s. The goal is reliable delta comparison — not absolute prediction.
What is the difference between ApexSim and ApexData?

ApexSim is the setup simulator — configure a setup, run physics, get predicted lap time and telemetry. ApexData is the real data analyser — load actual session files and compare laps, drivers and channels. They work together: ApexData identifies your car's real parameters, ApexSim uses them to simulate future setups.
Does team data stay private?

Yes, completely. Both tools run entirely in your device's browser. No data is ever sent to external servers. Telemetry, setups and sessions are saved in local browser storage only. Zero cloud, zero sharing.
